Just submitted Danish parish registers and census online help to Cyndi's List

from my email

This message is to confirm that I have received a new link submission from
you in regard to the Cyndi's List web site at http://www.CyndisList.com.

The new link will appear on a temporary, uncategorized web page on my site
within approx. 24 hours. Please see:
What's New on Cyndi's List?
http://www.CyndisList.com/whatsnew.htm

Once I am able to visit the site, verify the URL, the title and the purpose
of the site, I will consider adding it to the appropriate category pages
within Cyndi's List. However, there are a few disclaimers:
--The content on Cyndi's List is subject to the owner's discretion.
--Links will be added to Cyndi's List at the owner's discretion.
--There is no guarantee that all links will be included on Cyndi's
List.
--There is no guarantee that links will be added to Cyndi's List
within a specific timeframe.
See all Disclaimers at: http://www.CyndisList.com/disclaim.htm

I also want to let you know that I have quite a backlog of e-mail requests
(thousands) for Cyndi's List dating back several months, so please be
patient with me as work on the web site. My priority is to take care of all
messages regarding broken links or problems on the site first, followed by
the requests for new links to be added. Please do not send me multiple
requests for a link to your site. It only means more time spent sorting
through each day's incoming mail and less time to devote to setting up the
new links.

Thanks for your patience and thanks also for visiting my web site,
Cyndi

15. If you are new to genealogy, there are many great resources available
to help people who are new to genealogy. First you can visit my web site at:
http://www.CyndisList.com
and go to the "Beginners" category. There are many links there to sites
with an abundance of helpful information. Also be sure to visit your local
LDS Family History Center. You can find them listed in the yellow pages
under Churches. The volunteers there are wonderful and will point you in
the right direction. There are four terrific books that I would recommend
which we have in our own library (these books can be found via your local
bookstore or library):

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Genealogy
by Christine Rose, CG, CGL, FASG & Kay Germain Ingalls, CGRS
ISBN 0-02-861947-1
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ISBN=0028619471/

Unpuzzling Your Past: A Basic Guide to Genealogy, 3rd Edition
by Emily Croom
ISBN 1-55870-396-9
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ISBN=1558703969/

Organizing Your Family History Search
by Sharon DeBartolo Carmack
ISBN 1-55870-511-2
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ISBN=1558705112/

For anyone who is new to the Internet, I would like to suggest my own book
which was written after teaching classes for my genealogy society and our
local Family History Center. The book began as a handout written for these
classes. It is meant to be a resource for anyone who is new to the Internet
and also has many tips & tricks useful for people who have been online for
a while as well.
